The wokeness opus is an experimental effort to document how cultural and policy decisions associated with modern “woke” frameworks affect daily life at the city level. It is not a campaign, a movement, or a permanent fixture. Its continued existence depends on whether it can remain disciplined, factual, and civic in nature.

If this opus devolves into one-sided venting, abstract outrage, or slogan repetition, it will be removed. Its purpose is to observe, record, and compare outcomes in Columbus, not to instruct readers what to think or believe.

Cultural frameworks often feel abstract until they are formalized through local decisions. School boards, city councils, courts, and administrative bodies turn ideas into policies that directly affect residents.

This opus focuses on where those decisions surface in Columbus. It documents policies, enforcement actions, and institutional choices that are commonly described as “woke,” without assuming intent or outcome in advance. The emphasis is on what was decided, how it was justified, and who was affected.

This opus explicitly allows and expects opposing arguments. Supporters, critics, and defenders of contested policies are encouraged to explain their reasoning as it applies to specific local decisions in Columbus.

When a policy produces unequal treatment, disciplinary action, or altered standards, both the justification and the objection belong in the same public space. The goal is not resolution by force, but clarity through comparison. If an argument is sound, it should withstand local scrutiny. If it is not, that will become evident without editorial intervention.

Terms like “equity,” “inclusion,” or “harm” often carry different meanings depending on context. This opus avoids abstract labeling and focuses instead on consequences.

Entries should center on tangible outcomes in Columbus: changes to rules, enforcement practices, funding decisions, disciplinary actions, or public safety results. By anchoring discussion in outcomes rather than intent, the opus remains grounded in lived experience rather than ideological debate.

Primary Admins serve as stewards of the public record, not gatekeepers of belief. Their responsibility is to maintain accuracy, allow plural viewpoints, and keep content tied to verifiable local actions in Columbus.

PassOpus serves as the manager of this social cause to enforce scope and structure. If the opus fails to sustain open, locally grounded documentation or becomes dominated by personal agendas, it will be discontinued. The integrity of the record determines whether this experiment continues.

Clicking on the OpusInfo shows how you are displayed as the Primary Admin for this Wokeness opus.

You will not have to deal with a comments section since that is left on the social media platforms. PassOpus is an extension of all those platforms, taking people to more indepth, local content for certain topics that require specific content relevant to citizens of a city, like Columbus.

It is the role of a Primary Admin to allow others to be contributors to the content of this Columbus city opus on Aid. You can easily choose their subdomain from within the settings to assign them as an admin.

A contributor's content is tagged, just as this content is tagged by me - the author (play.passopus.com) - in the top right corner. This gives people incentive (exposure) to contribute content that will last and be impactful in their community. Their contribution helps your administration of content and adds a different perspectives; for example, someone who works within the city government could contribute information on how the system should/could run better.

The design of an opus into menus makes it possible for you to use any menu as an easily updateable calender of events. A logged in admin can pop an old event off the top which has passed and add a new one that's coming up on the bottom.

Even more important, any OpusNote you share into any social media platform can be made to land that viewer on the menu and rolopance of choice. This can give repeated exposure to an upcoming event, like a Wokeness Network event where people share their experiences about the process so people can make informed decisions. Use local hashtags on the social platform to make the algorithm city specific and deliver not just interesting, unique content - but a reminder of something important that is happening in their city.

The traditional method for raising funds for a social cause is the national organization's marketing efforts and donor list.

Now, that can be combined with the power of PassOpus's network of opuses (30,000) throughout all US cities. Some people only want to give locally because they distrust in national organizations to be effective in the distributions and not lost in overpaid managers - whether true or not.

National organizations can use the geo-navigational ability of PassOpus to promote one URL (wokeness.passopus.com) that will drive people to the city-specific opus like this one in Columbus (wokeness-columbus-oh.passopus.com). This can bring new patrons to the cause, empowers a national voice to drive local impact and gives you added exposure as the Primary Admin.

Managing a website for Wokeness in Columbus, OH is not economically viable, because it is too expensive, does not provide any incentive to you beyond your compassionate beliefs, requires too much technical knowledge and does not inspire others with both an idealistic and economic (exposure) incentive to help contribute. All of these motivations are made possible with PassOpus.

Making a social media post about the compassion of solving the need for Wokeness on a social media platform will dissipate in seconds and not register on the algo scale of importance. But taking a trending meme by copy/pasting the social media post (using the always provided embed code) into an OpusNote that lands on the Columbus city Wokeness will give great exposure to the cause and say a lot about you as the Primary Admin of it.

Great street cred starts on the street where solutions and involvement show character and participation. The opus content will stay visible on page load, making it an easy source for updated content that other news sources - which are short on funding for indepth stories - will likely pick up and reference. That will depend on the accuracy and relevancy of the content you - and whomever you authorize - put into the opus.

Raise awareness about Wokeness issues and how taxpayer funded programs are working. The opus is big, organized and comes in one page load for easy/quick viewing.

As we head into 2026, Americans have become accutely aware of how our government has been failing us for years. Now is the time to address the issues by showing how it is working for good or bad in your community.

Just because an opus is local does not mean it cannot be shared by anyone else or made to be national and trending on social media platforms. Local is for relevancy to the people for whom the content is most relevant. The space that 30,000 opuses for a single cause (like Wokeness) provides makes it possible for more stories to hit the algo scale of social media importance when the content blossoms in the opus.

There is already ample avenues to communicate with each other, there is no need to allow people - especially annonymous - to engage in harassment with opinions on matters in which they hold no belief, stake or outcome.

A PassOpus network of social opuses, like the 30,000 opuses of Wokeness, provides public viewing of the content for inspiring others to join while at the same time preventing petulant responses that consume human resources in replies and negative perceptions to propogate.

The OpusInfo button at the bottom of the opus menu provides many ways for the prople of Columbus to reach each other. It's public, so be wise. Map pins are to the city center unless you specify an address under your account settings. You can add a specific address to the map location in an OputNote which is great for events or business locations.

Put your techie hat on for just a moment. Let me explain what's going on under the hood that is not happening on Facebook, X, and other platforms.

"Walled Gardens" and "Progressive Enhancement" are techie terms that explain why your posts in social media platforms never make the AI and Search engine light of day and how it could be resolved and made to happen if technically desired, respectfully. Respectfully, PassOpus makes it happen. By refusing to wall our content off (putting it under login), and enhancing it for AI/Search bot consumption, we are prioritizing the importance of relevant, localized content to be seen by as many people as possible.

In a time of numerous social content platforms, expecting people to puruse them all or post into them all is not realistic. As we have clearly stated, PassOpus is not, never will be and cannot possibly replace social media platforms like X, Facebook and others. PassOpus is designed to extend and expand upon existing social media platforms.

Use PassOpus to post into social media platforms and get the benefit of both (AI/Search & Social Media) techie worlds and the human joy of delivering a journey through an organized story with several landing zones - not leaving people to wade through a dissipating timeline.

The separation of an OpusNote or Offerbox (what you post/share from PassOpus into a social media site) and the opus content that your viewer will land on when reading it makes for a journey of organized information. It leads the viewer somewhere, has a purpose, acts as an intro into something deeper and more interesting. Whether your post is meaningful and relevant to the opus or just plain fun - the journey begins.

Small Talk is the art of engaging with people to make nice, share humor and connect with them. If you are good and successful at it, then passing your business card might make it (and you) memorable. This is how society has networked since the beginning, now PassOpus brings it to social media.

Social Media is full of "small talk" content, memes and great humor abound and people want you to share it. The problem is that timeline narratives (your social feed) have a low tolerance for non-narrative posts. At typical posting frequencies, even one non-narrative post per day can prevent a stable narrative from forming, or can actively fragment an existing one.

On PassOpus the opus is the narrative. The OpusNote delivers content that does not disrupt the narrative. That means freedom to engage socially and on topics unrelated to your opus narrative. Meaning, you can engage with people on topics that are of interest to them - the core principle of how small talk works - and it will not break or disrupt the narrative of your efforts, which is your opus.

For every Primary Admin of a Wokeness city opus - of which there are potentially thousands - 20% of their monthly subscription goes to the national cause to support the effort. That is hard-money incentive for the national entity to use their national voice to drive awareness for local participation on PassOpus at the city level - like Columbus - which directly effects the exposure of those involved (like you, as Primary Admin). All the national voice needs to mention is one URL:and PassOpus will geo-navigate the rest by taking them to their city's opus for the social cause.

Even if you don't think of exposure as something that motivates you towards taking on a Primary Admin role for a social cause, you should still take the time to understand the various ways that such exposure can be used for economic gain. It can be used for something as benign and beneficial as job security for yourself, your spouse, a friend or to promote a business you enjoy - that is nothing to dismiss out of hand. See the PassOpus default opus for more info (white map pins).

If you think YouTube makes it easy to upload a video to their platform then you're missing out. First, you're only halfway done, because embedding it into your own website is the harder part. Or, you can upload your video into a social media platform where it will get lost in the noise and never seen by the AI/Search bots for discovery on a much larger scale.

PassOpus is just easier and more fun

• Upload a video into PassOpus and then you can pull it into either an OpusNote, Opus Rolodeck Rolopane or an OfferBox.
• Choose where you want your viewer to land on your opus when you create your OpusNote.
• Use the map to focus your viewer's attention to an area of importance, even a specific address and street level view if needed.
• Use the rotating rolopanes on the landing to give a quick preview to pique interest of a menu's content.
• Need an image to represent your post? You can use a graphics program to create one ...OR ...you can push a button called "Take Picture" and PassOpus will do it for you!
• You don't even have to upload an image when you want it - just right-click, copy then paste it into the PassOpus interface.
• PassOpus leaves instructions to help you remember what to do right where you need to do it.

Why it Works

PassOpus was designed and built by someone just like you. That's why things are the way you'd expect them be, the goals are what you think they ought be and the reduction in noise is what you want them to be. We are simpatico. A neither of us sees a need to spend millions of dollars on Election Drop Boxes for those who need to vote late at night and wearing a mask.

PassOpus offers tools to share resources, connect with your community, and organize discussions around Wokeness in Columbus.

Share valuable insights, stories, and updates about Wokeness to engage your community and promote understanding.

Good works in your local community establishes joy and ownership in the place where you live. Done respectfully, even difficult subjects can build bridges and bonds that last over time. Maturity is the "win some lose some" reality of love in the real world that online social media does not teach.

Embrace real world challenges with those nearest you and earn the respect and admiration that comes with it. Your personal efforts will shine in your personal opus because you will not be seen as a transient bystander with no skin in the game. Step into a Primary Admin role and become a player in your community.

Work with contributors and other admins to ensure your community has access to comprehensive Wokeness resources.

National voices can drive local participation when you have Wokeness information ready for your fellow Columbus citizens when they land. Remember, it only takes one URL to send everyone with a passion for making a social impact to the implementation of it in their community (IP redirects to) Be there for them.

Bring together the left's national resources and local efforts to support their efforts in Columbus.

Now that a national cause can drive foot traffic to local efforts national advertising has a new potential for increased ROI. Now you know why your efforts as Primary Admin must align with the national entity of left. The goal of PassOpus is to align local action with national efforts to facilitate monetary commitments for expansion and influence, while also providing local autonomy to address the real needs that are specific to each community. The Vote Report feature to remove wayward Primary Admins is a feature aimed at making this two-sided coin work.

A traditional social media timeline is a "what have you said lately" approach to relevancy. Viral moments become the objective, not longer term goals that effect change and improve lives.

OpusNotes are what you share online. Your opus is what they land on and where the journey truly begins. As Primary Admin of a social cause in Columbus, you administer the content for an opus of social interest and activity. Good works and social recognition falls to your personal opus, there is no better way to establish online credibility with those closest to you.

Telling an elaborate story is both easy to do and even easier to consume. You can even control where your OpusNote viewers land on your opus.

A "Walled Garden" is a techical termed used to describe a social media platform's control over its content:

• Controls distribution and visibility on its own terms
• Controls access to data and analytics
• Restricts reuse, scraping, and portability
• Makes external discovery secondary to internal feeds

PassOpus is not - and does not hope to be - a replacement of any social media site. PassOpus does not even try to have a comment section; instead, the focus is on curated content by people who want to use social media to engage socially while enabling their viewers to take a journey of discovery on more curated, organized content designed to tell a more detailed story.

Opus content is persistent and remains visible, gaining repeat exposure with each OpusNote or Offerbox posted into social media sites. The ability to land viewers on any one of 30 rolopanes makes it easy to keep people aware of scheduled events and important issues. Even a funny meme can still deliver pertinent information.

The PassOpus design makes a social cause and your personal efforts - whatever that may be - visible and perusable because it is organized under a menu and does not require you to navigate multiple pages.

People are busy, and the difference between getting people to show up to an event can come down to a timely notice with all of the relevant information for someone to make an instant decision to go.

With PassOpus you can send an OpusNote with GPS navigation to the event based on the user's cell phone position. The entire opus is included in the message in order to remind people of the cause, purpose and the importance of their presence. Getting a message like that to people in their car on the way home from work can be the difference that moves a cause.

In that process, how do you think people will view your presence, personal opus and your abiilty to perform? Would you give your business to someone who posts viral content to a national audience, or someone who delivers actionable content to their local community?

Knowing the ropes of a social cause helps to articulate the purpose of decisions and actions for a better outcome. Social causes are beautiful because they are rooted in the effort for goodness, betterment and love for humanity at large and your neighbor as a person.

But national players do not know your community and the issues that are most affecting your community. They know the chessboard but they don't know the position and pieces in play. You do.

Choosing to be Primary Admin of a social cause is the act of stepping into the breach between the needs of your community and the national organization that has information and a plan to help - but they lack the local power player to implement it.

There is no hard money that flows into your pocket for choosing to be a Primary Admin, but that is always a reality when it comes to social causes that are good and noble. However, there is a lot coming back to you that businesses pay very large sums of money to generate online through advertising - and that is exposure and credibility.

Skin in the Game

PassOpus directs 20% of a Primaary Admin's monthly subscription to the national organization. Plus, any new subscriber - even those who are not choosing to be Primary Admin of a social cause - can stipulate that 20% of their monthly subscription go to a PassOpus social cause (listed on the home page) of their choice. With nearly 30,000 cities in America that can add up.

A national voice and entity, with funding from PassOpus, can generate exposure that directly comes back to you and your role as Primary Admin for the cause in your city. You cannot purchase that type of targeted advertising on any platform.

When you go to the Create Account page, PassOpus remembers the last social cause subdomain you visited (for example, Wokeness) and it will give two checkboxes for choosing to be Primary Admin and/or choosing to support the social cause with 20% of your monthly subscription. If you want to change which social cause the PassOpus Create Account page offers you then go visit the one you want via the home page links - then go to the Create Account page.

Progressive Enhancement

PassOpus wants you to know that your entire Opus Menu, Opus Rolodeck, OpusNotes and Offerboxes are made available for search and AI bots to scrape, making the content available on the open web. PassOpus is not a "Walled Garden."

No Login Required

Visibility of content does not require a login account on PassOpus. No paywalls.

No Advertising Promise

We cannot guarantee no advertising will ever exist on PassOpus, but that is out goal. We believe our design will enable us to maintain an ad free environment.

Each social cause that PassOpus promotes, listed on the home page, gives credence to a nationally recognized organization that has spent a number of years in the social effort. They have been chosen for their history of involvement and the structure and goals that they have established and honed over the years.

A Social Network. Not Ownership.

PassOpus functions like any social media site, under the publisher liabiity protection under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The good faith moderation protection aspect applies, which is the freedom to remove, restrict or moderate content we find objectionable without losing liabiility protection, even if the content is contitutionally protected. The social cause that we align with, and financially support, act as advisers and contributors - not owners or partners with PassOpus or liable for user content.

Reporting

If the public has reported concerns over a Primary Admin's administration of a social cause opus - through the Reporting feature - it will be the national entity's review and decision to remove the Primary Admin that holds the most sway.

Many social efforts have opposing viewpoints on how best to address the needs of a social cause. If your views differ from those of Wokeness then it would be best if you suggested a name for a social cause you would like to see on PassOpus.

Read the stated goals of left on their website, left.passopus.com, to make sure you are in alignment with their goals and objectives. PassOpus wants to support your autonomy, but the relationships need to work from national to local.

The Primary Admin of a social cause can - and should - allow others to help with content. People add different perspectives. Each piece of content is tagged with the author's domain profile image which gives such contributors exposure for their efforts.

OpusInfo Exposure

On desktop views, the information under the OpusInfo button is missing or limited, but that will change when you become Primary Admin and populate the information. The "primary" information will be your information. The mobile view has its own version of this information.

Cross-Opus Contributions

Any PassOpus subscriber can be allowed "Admin" privileges by you as Primary Admin. While there is some risk of responsibility for other people's content, if done wisely this can allow supportive content and updates to the opus and create collaboration across multiple opuses as other Primary Admins can allow you to become an admin on their opuses. Such collaboration is strongly encouraged since it can make it easier to keep a busy opus updated/relevant and adds diversity of perspective.

As mentioned previously, PassOpus remembers the last social cause opus you visited before going to the Create Account page. To change the Create Account page choices for whether to become Primary Admin or to support the social cause with 20% of your monthly subscription, then visit the social cause of your choice before returning to the Create Account page.

Primary or No Primary

On the Create Account page, PassOpus checks whether the social cause you have highlighted (by visisting it) has a Primary Admin; If so, the checkbox option to become Primary Admin is substituted with the option to notify the Primary Admin that you would be interested in helping to admin the social content. You can always choose to direct 20% of your subscription to a social cause network on PassOpus (see home page matrix of causes). This choice cannot be quickly changed. Presently, there is a six month window before you can redirect this contribution, because we want those entities who have promoted PassOpus to benefit.
