Pitch Mode

Pitch Mode is the starting state for a Social Cause Opus that has not yet been locally administered.

It means the cause has a place in PassOpus, but the local version of that cause has not yet been developed by someone in the community.

An Invitation, Not the Finished Cause

Pitch Mode content is not intended to be the completed local resource for a social cause.

It may reference the cause, explain why the issue matters, and describe why local stewardship is needed, but it should not be mistaken for a fully developed local presentation.

The purpose of Pitch Mode is to invite someone to step forward as the Primary Admin and begin organizing real local understanding.

Why Pitch Mode Exists

Many important causes are discussed nationally, but local understanding does not appear automatically. Someone has to help connect the cause to the community.

Pitch Mode gives each local Social Cause Opus a starting point before that work has begun. It keeps the cause visible as an opportunity for stewardship instead of leaving the space empty or pretending the local presentation is already complete.

This is why Pitch Mode content may look similar from one city to another. The local cause has a place, but it has not yet been shaped by local knowledge, local resources, local organizations, or local contributors.

What Changes When a Primary Admin Steps Forward

When someone accepts the Primary Admin role for a Social Cause Opus, the purpose of the page changes.

The Opus is no longer simply inviting stewardship. It is now ready to become a local source of organized understanding.

At that point, the Primary Admin can begin adding meaningful local content, identifying resources, connecting organizations, including videos or websites, and inviting other contributors to help build the cause responsibly.

Administered, Not Owned

A Social Cause Opus is different from an Individual, Organization, or Business Opus.

A subscriber Opus represents the person, organization, or business that created it. A Social Cause Opus represents the cause within a local community. It can be administered, but it is not owned in the same way.

The Primary Admin helps steward the local cause. The role carries responsibility, but it should not become personal control over a public issue.

What Visitors Should Understand

If a Social Cause Opus is still in Pitch Mode, it does not mean the cause is unimportant. It means the local version of the cause is waiting for someone to help develop it.

If the cause matters to you, Pitch Mode is an invitation to consider whether you, your organization, your business, or someone in your community may be able to help.

PassOpus gives the cause a local place. Pitch Mode explains why that place is waiting for stewardship. The Primary Admin helps turn that opportunity into useful local understanding.
